Fans of the upcoming crime epic are getting another reason to gear up before launch as Rockstar Games and PlayStation officially unveiled a pair of limited edition DualSense controllers themed after Grand Theft Auto 6. Announced during the most recent State of Play broadcast, these collectibles come in both black and white variants. Both versions sport a sophisticated design featuring the Roman numeral VI logo engraved on the touchpad, complemented by subtle palm tree etchings along the grips. To add a pop of color to the aesthetic, each controller is finished with a sleek neon purple trim running along the bottom edge.
While the designs are striking, they come with a premium price tag of 84.99 dollars. Pre-orders are scheduled to go live via PlayStation Direct on September 10, though buyers will have to wait until the game actually hits shelves on November 19 to receive them. Given the fever pitch surrounding this title, industry analysts expect these units to sell out almost instantly upon release. While many hoped this announcement would lead into a full console bundle, neither Sony nor Rockstar mentioned any hardware packages at this time.
This reveal arrives as part of a broader push to build momentum ahead of the November release date. After years of strategic silence from Rockstar, the company has finally begun opening the curtains, recently showcasing initial gameplay footage and hosting preview events for select media outlets. The excitement is further fueled by claims from PlayStation that GTA 6 will play best on their hardware, utilizing specific features like haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and Tempest 3D AudioTech to create a more immersive experience for players.
